Launch Project: Wales Bonner x Ikwetta
This project was created for the PR & Branding unit in my first year. The project proposes a launch strategy for the collaboration between Wales Bonner and Ikwetta, a Nairobi-based brand known for handcrafted leather goods.This proposal focuses on how to launch the collaboration through an immersive event, using branding, media, and influencer strategies to communicate cultural storytelling and sustainability. The launch event, set within the Victoria and Albert Museum, was designed as an immersive journey through Kenyan culture — featuring traditional drapery, Afro-futurist soundscapes, and shoes displayed as ornaments among trees, symbolising unity between nature and craft.
Press coverage was strategically placed across AnOther, i-D, and Luncheon magazines — each exploring the collaboration through different lenses: artisanal craft, cultural fusion, and social impact.
